Catherine Davis, 89, Rural Robinson, Illinois passed away at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Ridgeview Care Center, Oblong, Illinois. Born near Stoy, Crawford County, Illinois on October 13, 1922, she was the daughter of John Claude Davis and Arizona Maude Della (Morgan) Davis. She attended Indiana Business College. She worked for the Robinson Daily News and later for Ettlebrick Shoe Factory, Robinson, Illinois for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Oblong where she taught the Youth Sunday School class until her health failed. She was also a 4-H Leader.
Catherine is survived by her brother, Charles Davis; three great-nieces, Mindy Beurskins, Megan Smith and Emily Davis; one great-nephew, Nickoulas Davis.
Catherine is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Eugene A. Davis and wife Frances; and two nephews, Lane Davis and Gary Davis.
The funeral service will be officiated by Bro. Dee Wolfe & Bro. Don Allen. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
